The Network was made public the details of future smartphones Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2, which is now preparing Google. An unnamed source told XDA Developers over the weekend that the Taimen aka Google Pixel XL 2 would feature a 5.99-inch OLED display with 1440p resolution.
A source close to the matter, who had a chance to spend time with one of the two upcoming Google Pixel 2 models, said that the "Walleye", which is the smaller Google Pixel 2, will be very similar to the existing Google Pixel; nearly identical, in fact, which means the same 4.97-inch 1920 x 1080 display. However, the larger of the two, the Google Pixel XL 2 would feature a slightly larger display, coming in at 6 inches.
The XL will also feature a model with 128GB of storage, although other variations are expected. Walleye will be up with a 4.97-inch FHD display and will be powered with Snapdragon 835 processor accompanied with 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM.
Stay tuned, more leaks are upcoming. But I personally think there is a niche here that Google could exploit with its Pixel phones. Google is adding stereo speakers to the device this time. Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL are two phones highly anticipated by Android fans. The larger Pixel is likely an LG device, and the smaller one may still be manufactured by HTC. Although we do not know what Google has in mind for the next Pixel device, we would be happy if it was similar to what DBS Concept has in mind.
New Texas Law May Spark Some Tension In Cities
Busloads of demonstrators from across Texas rallied outside, wearing red T-shirts and carrying signs denouncing the law. A handful of Texas cities - including Austin - are now suing the state, saying the law promotes discrimination.
The "Walleye" is believed to be the smaller version of the Google Pixel 2 as it will don a 5-inch display at 1080p. Details are now scrace, m but rumours are starting to circulate - here's everything we know about the Google Pixel 2. However, it is speculated that there will be more storage options.
In recent weeks, rumors for Google's next generation "Pixel 2" devices have picked up in steam.
There may be a third Pixel phone codenamed as 'Taimen'-seen on Geekbench already- and all three will run on the Snapdragon 835 processor. From the look of things, Google dropped the midsized smartphone, choosing "Taimen" over it instead.
The leak says that the Pixel 2 and Pixel XL 2 have different names used to refer to their fingerprint scanners in their preproduction software, where the former has "Pixel Imprint", while the latter has "Nexus Imprint". Interestingly, this phone's design is said to be almost identical to the 2016 model, including the larger bezels, but will trade the headphone jack for a pair of front-facing speakers.
