"The necessary measures have been taken to rapidly contain the attack", the bank told Reuters on Wednesday, after a person familiar with the matter had said that some staff computers were blocked on Tuesday due to the incident.
Russian security software firm Kaspersky said about 2,000 computers were affected - far fewer than the cyberattack last month that targeted 300,000.
The cryptolocker demands $300 in bitcoins and does not name the encrypting program, which makes finding a solution hard, Group IB spokesman Evgeny Gukov said.
Dutch-based transport company TNT Express, which was taken over past year by FedEx, also said Tuesday that it is suffering computer disruptions.
The impacted terminal is operated by Danish shipping giant AP Moller-Maersk, which also reported disruptions in Los Angeles.
"The situation is under the full control of cyber security specialists and they are now working on recovering lost data, " the Ukrainian Government said in a statement. "Not so long ago the world was caught off-guard by the widespread cyber-attack carried out using a unsafe "#Ransomware" called #WannaCry.
Europol said it is investigating the attack as well.
"Microsoft antivirus software finds this ransomware and protects against it", TASS cited Davydova as saying. WannaCry also leveraged the EternalBlue exploit, which was leaked as part of a trove of hacking tools believed to belong to the NSA.
The NITDA boss also hinted that the attack is spreading quickly with reports indicating that countries affected so far include Ukraine, Denmark, Russia, the UK, Germany, France, Italy, Poland and the USA.

Russia's central bank said there were isolated cases of lenders' IT systems being infected. The ransomware uses the similar loophole found in Windows, which WannaCry used to carry out a massive attack. One consumer lender, Home Credit, had to suspend client operations.
Hackers have been spreading ransomware attacks through emails and apps. However, in a statement released by its spokesperson the agency acknowledged that the Homeland security is monitoring the situation.
MalwareTech, the British security researcher who halted the spread of WannaCry, added that it was likely MeDoc was hacked, then its software used to spread the malware to any PC using its accounting service.
"Because it blocks boot efforts and prevents affected systems from working altogether, it's considered more risky than typical ransomware strains", Sophos writes in its Naked Security blog.
