Later in the broadcast, ABC's Martha Raddatz asked White House Homeland Security and Counterterrorism Adviser Thomas Bossert about Trump's tweet of an altered WrestleMania video showing him "beating up" the CNN logo.
The billionaire businessman-turned-US President is seen attacking a man outside the wrestling ring, before the logo FNN appears on the screen with the words "Fraud News Network" appearing underneath it.
This is not President Trump's first attack on media outlets, he has been attacking the media since the beginning of his campaign calling several media outlets like New York Times, The Washington Post, CNN and MSNBC "Fake News".
CNN spent almost all of Friday covering the tweet attacks against the cast of Morning Joe, yet Jake Tapper had the gall to turn to Twitter to repeat a criticism that Trump spends an inordinate amount of time attacking the media, but virtually no time tweeting about opiate abuse, Afghanistan, hunger and other important issues.
Plane crash on California freeway
They show the plane in flames, emergency teams rushing to the scene, and the plane's passengers after they were evacuated. Orange County Fire Captain Larry Kurtz said two people, a man and a woman in their 50s and 60s, were aboard the plane.
He was immediately accused of advocating violence-ironic, since it wasn't too long ago that Sarah Huckabee Sanders, the White House deputy press secretary, said the President had never promoted violence.
"No one should be threatened with physical harm for doing their jobs. He should start doing his", the statement added. I hope they don't. On Saturday, he tweeted, "I am thinking about changing the name #FakeNews CNN to #FraudNewsCNN!". "I do think that he is beaten up in a way on cable platforms that he has a right to respond to".
It's not clear who produced the brief video, but it was posted from Trump's official Twitter account.
But, he said, "every other president has understood that ... the freedom of the press is the First Amendment for a reason". "Make America Great Again!" he tweeted on Saturday.
Sunday's tweet comes a day after Trump escalated an intensely personal feud with two high-profile talk show hosts, suggesting without evidence that their network is biased against him.
