The new device is being launched to celebrate the 30th anniversary of KFC entering China, so it's no clucking surprise local mega-corp Huawei was plucked out as the manufacturer of choice. Brands, announced the special edition Huawei phone on its Weibo page. There are around 4,000 KFC restaurants in the country. The phone is apparently a reskinned Enjoy 7 Plus that's been done over in KFC's trademark scarlet hue, with the iconic Colonel Sanders logo on the back, just beneath the fingerprint scanner.
It comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM.
KFC just launched an online retail destination for fans to deck themselves - and their homes - in "finger lickin' good" apparel and decor. Loaded onto the phone are a number of bonuses including 100,000 "K dollars" - virtual credits for the KFC app in China - and access to KFC's new jukebox function, K-Music. That particular model is equipped with a 5-inch LCD display panel with a resolution of 1,280 by 720 pixels and is powered by the Snapdragon 425, Qualcomm's mid-range system-on-chip (SoC) with the Adreno 308 GPU. The handset will be offered only in KFC's recognizable red color and feature branding from both companies, as evidenced by its announcement video which can be seen beneath this writing.
